At least once a year, my husband and I make a trip to Walt Disney World without the kids. And these are usually our most favoritest trips. We spend the entire time eating amazing food, drinking the drinks and just slowing down to enjoy each other. We’ll spend hours talking with the Cast Members on the animal trails at Animal Kingdom or playing dominos at our favorite bar. We love spending time and really taking in the details of the parks and fabulous people watching.
Here's some of our most favorite watering holes:
1. Baseline Tap House, Hollywood Studios: This bar has coffee house vibes with the cool music and some great craft beers. The snacks are on point with the giant pretzel and charcuterie board. TIP: You can find the playlist on Spotify!
2. Geyser Point Bar & Grill, Wilderness Lodge: This bar is outdoors with comfortable seating and beautiful views of Bay Lake. They serve a yummy Black Cherry Mule and you can’t miss the Cheesy BBQ Brisket.
3. Belle Vue Lounge, Boardwalk Inn: Comfy chairs and sofas with vintage radios makes this space special. Michael, the bartender, makes an amazing vodka martini. Years ago, they had lots of games to play with the family but so many pieces have been lost, we’ll bring our own dominos and spend hours playing.
4. La Cava del Tequila, Epcot: This is a tradition with my husband and me (that's my mother-in-law in the photo). A trip isn’t complete unless we have stopped at La Cava for our tequila shot and margarita to wash down the queso and guacamole.
5. Hollywood Brown Derby Patio, Hollywood Studios: Fun people watching at the tall bistro tables! You can order from the menu while enjoying a full bar at this small, outdoor bar.La Cava del Tequila, Epcot: This is a tradition with my husband and me.
